Heating and cooling Franklin homes
Franklin is the Williamson County seat, with historic homes near downtown and along the Harpeth River and large newer houses in the subdivisions around them. Many larger homes run two or more systems, often a downstairs unit with an attic system for the upstairs. Long duct runs and bonus rooms over garages are where comfort problems show up first.
Common Franklin calls
- AC repair on upstairs systems working hard in an attic
- Replacements for one system or both in a multi-system house
- Furnace and heat pump repair when the first cold front comes through
- Emergency calls during summer heat waves and winter cold snaps
Older homes and newer builds
Historic houses near downtown often have equipment and ducts added long after construction, sometimes in tight crawl spaces or closets. Newer builds have their own issues: returns sized to the minimum, flex duct that sags over time and upstairs rooms that run several degrees warmer than the rest of the house. We look at the whole system before recommending a fix.
Franklin calls are dispatched from our Spring Hill office, a straight run up the US-31 and I-65 corridor. Estimates and second opinions are free. Call or text 931-682-6969.
