HVAC Maintenance in Spring Hill and Columbia, TN

Long cooling seasons here mean more runtime than a milder climate. Coils, capacitors, and filters take that load. A maintenance visit is a checkup — not a promise that nothing will fail — and it is how we catch a weak capacitor before the July no-cool call.

Eskimo Brothers offers maintenance agreements (Economy and Premiere options exist; call for current terms). One-time seasonal tune-ups are available too. We do not publish hours on this site; phone 931-682-6969 or text the same number to schedule.

Maintenance is billed as repair work when parts are needed, and those repairs take the 10% military and senior discount. The service call is free. Offices: 220 Town Center Pkwy Ste 140, Spring Hill, and 610 N Garden St Basement, Columbia.

What a tune-up covers

A maintenance visit is a working inspection, not a sticker on the unit. On a typical cooling check we look at:

  • Capacitors, contactors and electrical connections at the outdoor unit
  • Outdoor coil condition, and cleaning when it is loaded with debris
  • Refrigerant operating pressures and temperature split across the indoor coil
  • Blower operation, the filter and airflow
  • The condensate drain line, pan and float switch
  • Thermostat operation and how the system cycles

On a heating check we look at the burners, flame sensor, ignition, venting and safety controls on gas furnaces, and the heat strips, defrost and reversing valve on heat pumps.

When to schedule

Spring is the time for the cooling side, before the first long hot week. Fall is the time for heating, before the first cold night. Heat pumps benefit from both visits because they work in both seasons. Our long humid summers put more hours on equipment than a milder climate does, which is why we push the spring check.

Between visits

Check a 1-inch filter monthly and change it every one to three months, sooner with pets or after construction dust. Keep two feet of clear space around the outdoor unit. If the condensate line has a cleanout, flush it in midsummer, and call if you notice water around the indoor unit. Ask about the Economy and Premiere maintenance agreements when you call 931-682-6969.

Maintenance across Maury and Williamson County

We run tune-ups and agreement visits from both offices, Spring Hill and Columbia, for homes on both sides of the county line, plus Franklin, Thompson’s Station, Mount Pleasant and the rural communities around Columbia. Repairs found on a maintenance visit take the 10% military and senior discount, and we quote them before doing any work.
